Seasonal Flu Vaccination (2018)

Our seasonal flu vaccinations have now arrived.  We will be running Saturday drop-in clinics on:

  • 22nd September 2018 from 08:30 - 13:00
  • 20th October 2018 from 08:30 - 12:00

These clinics are for patients age 18 years and over only.

Patients at risk of flu are:

  • All patients aged 65 or over on 31st March 2019
  • Patients with Diabetes
  • Patients with Heart Disease
  • Chronic Liver Disease
  • Suffered Stroke or TIA
  • COPD or Severe Asthma
  • Immunosuppression
  • Pregnant
  • Patients who live in residential or nursing homes
  • Are a carer or work in a care home
  • Children aged 2 - 3 years

If you are unsure if your are eligible for a flu vaccined please contact reception for details.

There are three different vaccines this year, children up to 18 years of age will be offered the nasal vaccine (we have not received delivery of these vaccines yet, so all parents will be contact with details of child vaccine clinic at a later date). A vacine for those aged 18 - 64 years (QIV) and a vaccine for those age 65 and over on 21st March 2019 (aTIV)

Heatwave Alert

the Met Office have issued a Level 3 Heatwave Alert for the Yorkshire and Humber region which will be in force until Saturday.

If you have a long-term condition like asthma, bronchiectasis or COPD, you're more at risk of hot weather affecting you.  Top tips on staying well when the temperatures soar can be found at  https://www.blf.org.uk/support-for-you/hot-weather .

Practice Closed for New Registration

The practice is currently closed for the registration of new patients, this will remain so until the end of October 2018.

Practice Closed for Staff Training 

Thursday 26th July between 13:00 - 18:30

Please note that Field House Medical Group will be closed on Thursday 26th July 2017 from 13.00 – 18.30 hrs due to protected learning time for staff. This is an area wide initiative, driven by the NEL Clinical Commissioning Group and fully supported by NHS England.
